The recent Roku Streaming Player models are released with a built-in headphone jack on the most advanced ‘Point Anywhere’ Remotes for private listening. When there is a commotion around or you prefer to immerse yourself in the audio experience, the audio output can be channeled directly to your headphones. Not all models support this feature hence this feature can be enjoyed only in limited models. The Audio output is restricted to just headphones during private listening and the TV speakers will be muted during this period.
Taking Advantage of Private Listening
Note : Do not wear the headphone unless you are confident that volume is in the safe hearing zone.
- Search for the inbuilt-headphone jack found on the side of the Roku remote where the headphone needs to be plugged. As soon as it is plugged, a headphone icon is now visible on the TV screen suggesting the successful connection of headphones for private listening.
- Go ahead and stream a channel or movie or a show. Bring the headphones closer to your ears to check the volume . If the Volume is too high , use the volume buttons to reduce the volume and then only wear the headphones.
- If there is need to readjust the volume based on hearing preferences, please do so using the volume buttons.
- The moment you want to redirect the audio to TV speakers, simply pull the headphones from the remote jack. Now the TV speakers are in control of the audio.
